Membership Structure
The African Youth Philanthropy Network’s membership structure is designed to cater to different levels of engagement, ensuring that all members, whether looking to contribute generally or drive strategic initiatives, find value and fulfillment in their involvement. Each tier offers unique benefits, resources, and opportunities, making it easier for members to contribute meaningfully to youth philanthropy in Africa.
This tier is designed for individuals and organizations passionate about youth philanthropy in Africa. Members at this level gain access to general resources, community events, and basic networking opportunities within AYPN.
Joining Fee:
Individuals: Free

Membership Journey
Application Submission: Prospective members fill out the online application form, providing their details and detailing their interests and how they plan to contribute to youth philanthropy.
Welcome Pack: Upon approval, members receive a welcome email with digital resources, an introduction to AYPN’s activities, access to a member-only platform (access to the directory), and the network’s logo to promote their work.
Community Engagement: Members are encouraged to participate in monthly webinars, regional events, and online discussions to build connections, and collaborate with other members.
Ongoing Support: Members can attend regular orientation sessions to familiarize themselves with AYPN’s goals and initiatives, ensuring they maximize their membership benefits.
This tier is for organizations and individuals looking to take an active role in shaping the direction of youth philanthropy in Africa. Contributors collaborate on key projects and initiatives, co-host events, and gain visibility through AYPN’s network. They also get access to grant and funding opportunities.
Joining Fee:
Individuals: $100 annually
Organizations: $200 annually
Membership Journey:
1. Initial Consultation: Interested parties begin their journey with a one-on-one consultation with an AYPN representative to discuss mutual goals and potential collaboration areas.
2. Access to Exclusive Resources: Members receive advanced access to AYPN’s research, reports, and strategic tools. They can also participate in high-level meetings with key stakeholders.
3. Partnership: Contributors can propose and lead projects in collaboration with AYPN, contributing to impactful youth development initiatives across Africa.
4. Recognition & Visibility: Members receive recognition at AYPN events, on the website, and in promotional materials, enhancing their reputation within the philanthropic community.
This tier is tailored for high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and organizations committed to making a substantial impact and investment towards youth philanthropy and development in Africa. Catalysts will have the opportunity to be the primary funders or sponsors of projects, gaining visibility and recognition for their support. They receive priority access to all AYPN events, including invitations to private dinners, workshops that are not available to other membership tiers, and access to exclusive research, white papers, and insights produced by AYPN.

Organizations: $500 annually
Membership Journey:
1. Executive Onboarding: Upon joining, Catalysts are welcomed with a personalized onboarding session led by AYPN’s executive team.
2. Priority Access: They are introduced to AYPN’s portfolio of high-impact, youth-led projects through a curated briefing. They are also given priority invitations to upcoming exclusive events, such as VIP networking sessions, allowing them to connect with other influential members and stakeholders.
3. Impact Reporting and Sustainability: Within the first few months, new Investor members receive their initial customized impact report, detailing the outcomes of their contributions. They are also invited to a legacy planning session, where AYPN explores options for long-term involvement.
